Adopt Anne and Emily for the Holidays

This holiday, give the gift of Anne and Emily to a true friend and kindred spirit! We have repackaged eight Anne and three Emily titles in hardcover and paperback. Both sets are designed by Kelly Hill and are sure to become a favourite!

The paperback editions feature cover art by Elly Mackay. She created these dreamy images by drawing, painting, trimming, and installing the scenes in her theatre. Then with the magic of light and Elly’s skilled photography, voilà! Gorgeous new covers! Elly is even selling prints of some of the covers: Anne of Windy Poplars, Anne of Avonlea, and Emily of New Moon.

Then there are these wonderfully designed hardcover editions . . . where do we even start? The covers are made to look like they’re cloth bound and there are ribbons to bookmark your place. Each book features their own cartouche, which is used throughout the interiors. Oh the endpapers! You can see a glimpse of them on the large ANNE and EMILY designs on the cover, but they’re just stunning when you open up the book. Sigh! That’s not even all, there’s a bonus short story by L. M. Montgomery at the back of the book too.

  1. Oh gosh. These are such beauties. Love both paper back and hardcovers. But would love to win the hard covers. Thanks for such an amazing giveaway. 🙂

  2. I love them both! The art on the paperbacks is lovely, but so is the simplicity of the hardcovers. I think I like the hardcovers better though 🙂

  3. Love the paperbacks! I have been a fan of Elly Mackay for a long time, and when I found out she was designing covers for my favorite children’s book series, I was thrilled! Best of art and literature combined!

  4. As much as the classic cursive hardcover artwork and its color schemes are nice.

I am a paperback fan and especially the colourful artwork and illustrations allows the readers to recognize which story is which. Till this day I remember the yellow cover of Anne balancing on the rooftop. The fact that the spines line-up to make a landscape piece is lovely. 🍁

  5. Came here from the Theater Clouds facebook page. I adore Elly’s work! I was looking into buying a bunch of her books for Christmas to read with my niece.

  6. I had a tough time deciding which covers I lived, the paperback versions remind me so much of Pocahontas but I really love the hardcovers they are simply beautiful

  7. Love the paperbacks! I’m a big fan of Kelly’s artwork and Etsy shop! These were my favorites as a little girl and I’d love to be able to gift them to my niece for Christmas this year!

  8. Oh my goodness! These are all so lovely! The hardcovers are beautiful, but I think I’d like the paperbacks – Elly Mackay’s work is so magical! I’m a huge fan of hers – and of Anne’s! 🙂 Thanks for the opportunity to win a set – what a gift!

  9. Any of these would be awesome for our 2 little girls! The paperback versions with artwork by our friend Elly MacKay would be just perfect though.

  10. I loved Anne of Green Gables as a child and I’m excited to share these stories with my children. My favorite are the paperbacks, the ethereal illustrations by Elly Mackay are wonderful.

    • Hi Aylee, congratulations! You’ve won the paperback set of Lucy Maud Montgomery books! Please check your inbox for an email from us!

  11. I love them both! But I think I love the paperback ones a little more. A friend saw them at a Montgomery conference earlier this year and Instagrammed a pic to me. Been on my wishlist ever since! Thanks for doing the giveaway!

  12. Oh, which to choose, which to choose? Although I’m usually a bit of a hardcover snob, and these ones do look delicious, I will have to go with the paperback editions. I am Elly MacKay’s #1 fan, and I would be over Emily’s new moon to actually win this boxed set.

    • Hi Sandra, congratulations! You’ve won the hardcover set of Lucy Maud Montgomery books! Please check your inbox for an email from us!

  13. Wow! What beautiful sets! This is my absolute favorite series. I would love to win the hardback set of books. Thanks for the opportunity. 😊

  14. I love hardcovers but it was a paperback of Anne of the Island that I first came across the series in the Philippines mid 90s before coming to Canada. I realized, of course, that Anne was Canadian as I remember they used to abbreviate their province as P.E.I., which puzzled me. I’d read the rest of the series and Emily in hardcover if I win the sets, thank you for this chance.

  15. I’m so happy that such beautiful editions of my favourite series exist ❤ And the whole series too! I especially love the hardcover set.

  16. I love both of them! The hardcovers are my favorite, but I’d be happy with either collection. Anne of Green Gables is one of my favorite classics–I’ve read it at least three times. 🙂

  17. Find Elly Mackay’s work awe inspiring. Must have collection, especially with grand children close by. Wonderful pictures and classic stories to share with them

  18. Love both, but having to pick I’ll go with the hardcovers. I like the combo of chic/clean and traditional/cozy elements of the design and the basic fact that they are hardcover. Well done to the designers in both cases.

    • Hi Kate, congratulations! You’ve won the paperback set of Lucy Maud Montgomery books! Please check your inbox for an email from us!

  19. The paperback and the hardcover editions are both wonderful, but if I had to choose, I would love to add the hardcover series to my collection!
